the 💖 behind nolabl
I was born the oldest of 7 in Buffalo, New York, to a 16-year-old mother and a father caught in the grip of addiction. I could’ve easily been seen as a product of my environment—a statistic shaped by poverty, instability, and generational pain. But God had other plans. For years, I didn’t see them.
When I left Buffalo at 21 with my toddler son, I wasn’t walking with God. In fact, I was walking in the opposite direction. I identified as an agnostic atheist, disconnected from the idea of a higher power, let alone a loving Father. I believed only in survival. I believed in grit.
The next seven years in Los Angeles became my wilderness. I explored EVERYTHING—dance, music, coding, drugs, healing arts, hospitality, entrepreneurship. I hustled, burned out, got back up, reinvented myself. But underneath the success and movement, I was spiritually starved. I didn’t know it yet, but I was trying to fill a God-shaped void with everything but Him.
I hit a breaking point.
I found myself at rock bottom in the arms of the One I had been running from. I surrendered my life to Jesus and was baptized in 2021. Everything changed.
Shortly after, in a moment of stillness and clarity, NoLabl came to me like a divine download. It wasn’t just an idea—it was a calling. God showed me that my story, my many gifts, my pain, and my voice were all meant to be used together, for His glory.
God called me back to my home city in 2023 to continue His will.
The world wanted me to pick a lane: Are you a singer, a dancer, a writer, or a teacher? I utterly loathed that conversation. Because I wasn’t made to be just one thing!
I was made to embody the fullness of what He placed in me—not for my own spotlight, but for His light to shine through every part of me. I started to understand that NoLabl was more than a concept, or an average brand idea.
I knew this was more of a movement of God, and I had to let Him develop me into the Leader he called me to be for this assignment. It’s bigger than me. A safe haven for misfits. A platform for cycle-breakers. A call to the multifaceted, the misunderstood, and the mission-driven.
Through Gods Love, I’ve reclaimed my voice, my story, and my purpose. Through NOLABL, I help others do the same. If you’ve ever felt like you had to shrink to be accepted…If you’ve ever questioned where you belong or who you really are…
Welcome home. Thank you for being here. The heart behind Nolabl is the heart of Jesus.
BIG LOVE, Jeanine
